At Raw Talent Academy we use multiple candidate attraction methods that not only provide a high volume of quality applications for each Academy, but also unearth talent often overlooked by our competitors. By pairing these inventive ideas alongside traditional recruitment methods we make sure to capture the attention of the very best talent.
In order to find our clients next sales superstars, we always go the extra mile by sweeping the local area, instead of waiting for the phone to ring. We continuously go outside of the normal recruitment methods and where better to find the next leading sales person than a busy Maidenhead shopping centre in the run up to Christmas.
Heading out as a team on a Saturday morning we created a buzz, offering something different to the usual phone cases and handbags, we were promoting the opportunity to start an exciting new career in 2014!
With frost on the ground and leaving the warmth of my bed, we assembled the stand and took to the streets with our eye on the local talent who were looking for a rewarding career… they just didn’t know it yet! We fuelled ourselves with coffee for the day ahead, to spread Christmas cheer and jobs abundant.
The day started quickly as interest around the opportunities gathered pace, we didn’t have a selected targeting specification as it was important to network off as many people as possible and take full advantage of the busy Saturday shopping centre.
It was an exciting day that was really important for our project with Capita ITR, as we wanted to reach out to the wider market to ensure we gathered the best talent. I feel that the promotional stand and mystery shopping worked effectively in attracting passive talent as a lot of these individuals don’t use LinkedIn, and may not be searching job boards actively, so it’s a great way to get in front of them and sell the opportunity.
We don’t just do it to make up numbers and say we do something innovative, the previous 10 candidates that made it to the audition day from mystery shopping activities have all gone on to secure a job with top organisations across the country and carve fruitful careers. These results provide a clear indication as to why we take time out of our weekends to promote and network the brilliant opportunities available with our clients.
I spoke to motivated people that will now step into the Capita ITR project. It was vital to carry this candidate attraction method on a Saturday as there would be a higher volume of shoppers. In recruitment we all say we do something different, however I truly believe that Raw Talent Academy carry out creative methods of recruitment, outside of the normal Monday to Friday shift.
