Raw Talent receive award nominations!
One of Watlington’s biggest and fastest growing businesses, Raw Talent, has been shortlisted for not one, but two awards with the Oxfordshire Business Awards. The previous winners – having picked up the ‘New Business of the Year Award’ in 2013 – will be looking forward to the awards evening on the 19th June 2015 to be held at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel.
Raw Talent, born from a frustration at the lack of fresh talent within the sales industry, is an award-winning Sales Recruitment and Training business with a proven track record of unearthing hidden sales talent, showcasing their ability and nurturing success. Due to this proven track record they have been recognised. On this occasion Raw Talent has been short-listed for the ‘Best Small Business of the Year Award’ and their Managing Director Lee McQueen – a former BBC Apprentice winner with Lord Sugar – has been short-listed for the ‘Young Business Person of the Year Award’.
McQueen on being nominated for the two awards revealed; “I am extremely proud of what we have achieved over the past few years with Raw Talent. A huge part of the businesses success has been my staff, the majority recruited locally and demonstrating that we practice what we preach as a business, taking on trainee talent and promoting from within! This award nomination is recognition of their hard work & dedication.
“I am flattered and honoured to have been shortlisted for the ‘Young Business Person of the Year Award and we are delighted as a company to be back at the Oxfordshire Business Awards. Those running the Awards do an outstanding job in promoting and supporting Oxfordshire businesses”
‘Raw Talent’ himself, Lee has had a successful career in both Recruitment and Advertising including working closely with Lord Sugar for over two years after winning ‘The Apprentice’. An Oxfordshire resident he has also delivered hundreds of motivational speeches and compered awards for educational organisations and businesses across the UK.
