TechNET IT hire again following second Academy
Specialist IT Recruiters, TechNET IT have welcomed a number of trainee recruitment consultants into two of their offices following their second Academy in 2013.
Raw Talent Academy first partnered with TechNET IT in July 2013; launching an Academy that culminated with an Audition Day the following month in August that saw a group of outstanding candidates offered positions across 3 of the companies offices.
After the success of the first Academy, TechNET IT continued the partnership this time looking to expand their permanent and contract teams in Maidenhead and Milton Keynes. Once again a large number of candidates applied, all going through our rigorous application process before the top 20 were invited to attend the unique Apprentice style Audition Day on the 8th November 2013.
The Audition Day, held at Watford football clubs Vicarage Road stadium, saw the candidates split into teams and put through a number of tasks tailored to TechNET IT. This ensured TechNET IT’s senior management team in attendance on the day were able to test relevant competencies and see the candidates showcasing their skills and attributes.
As the day drew to a close, a number of the candidates left the Audition Day with a job offer and an exciting new career in front of them.
Shayne Simpson, Operations Manager at TechNET IT’s Milton Keynes office, described the day saying; “I think it has been very successful, we are very happy with the 2 new hires into our side of the business.”
For TechNET IT’s Contracts Manager Dan May it was the second Academy he had attended and he spoke about the process adding; “I feel there was a good range of candidates on the day, very diverse and I feel Raw Talent Academy have met our specifications very well.
“This is the second time using Raw Talent Academy and it is very effective to take a day out the office – instead of spending hours over days or weeks in meeting rooms going through numerous CV’s and interviewing candidates – as we feel confident we will always come away with quality candidates.”
Shayne Simpson had the final word going on to say; “The process also brings forward candidates who would not make it through our internal process based on their CV. The stand out candidate from today would be unlikely to receive an interview so it has been a real success.”
